SIM

Hi

I bought my first TIM SIM card on Ebay and I manage the account on line - I speak Italian but Google translate makes it workable.

Vodafone Italia can be managed in teh same way.

You do...

Vodafone

I've said it many times, just get a Vodafone Italia SIM card - that is effectively what Europasim is, but you don't have a middle man.

As I have another Italian SIM which allows 250 mins of talk,...

Dolomites

Ah, a blast back to my coach days - the Pordoi Pass first - 27 hair pin bends, a coffee at the top and a cable lift ride, then over the Sella Pass....

Might go up with the motorhome in September...

Italian

I learned to speak Italian using a book and CD called "HUGO".

There was also a free set of 8 CD's in the Daily Mail a few years ago - again very good.

I'm conversational now and it is mostly...

Deposit

Hi

I would drop a pleasant line to the CCC and explain, or offer to change to another date/site.

I'm all for deposits - you pay a deposit with Thomas Cook etc and you pay the balance months in...

Layby

It's a well known (locally) cruising and dogging area.

I discovered this after parking up for a brew. Bobbies knocked on my door! My coffee on the table and sandwiches, along with my route...

Cappuccini

Interesting comment re Cappuccini as I looked around a couple of years ago. I recall leaving my CCC membership card as ID.

The German lady on reception appears abrupt but I don't think she is so....

Airport

Hi

Never been there but when I'm doing airport "transfers" with the motorhome I follow the bus/coach lane. Worst case you are in the bus station, but you know there is clearance to get in and out...

Zocco has some large pitches, but not that many and also not the easiest pitches to move a van onto due to trees growing at angles etc! We went, but did not stay.

How about splitting your stay?

So first week at Camping Cappuccini - so you are at the busy end of the lake, near the buses and trains to explore Verona, Mantova, even Milan and Venice....

We had no bother with THREE in Italy, on their own "TRE Italia" network. It was fast enough for what we needed.
