Ingo Sundowner We've just been up to Loch Tummel over the last bank holiday weekend. Popped into the Moulin Hotel in Pitlochry and were bitterly disappointed. We always rated the food there as 5 star. Not this time, Haggis was absolutely reeking when it came to the table. You can eat inside but not drink alcohol. Outside you can do both, Is the world going totally crazy? I love Scotland but now I hear that people living along the NC500 route are getting fed up with the sheer amount of Motorhomers and their rubbish. Can anyone substantiate?

aldra Unfortunately I canít remember that figure of a lad I first fell in love with Pat

I can remember a guy who stood by me when I tried so hard to get rid of him

My life was full of change from one childrenís home to another nothing lasted

So I expected he would also leave me and tried hard to hasten it, better the pain now than later

Nothing I did shook him

And it took so long to trust him not to leave me, even beyond the birth of our first child

Now 56 yrs later, 6 kids and 12 grandkids I recon I can relax

Only death will part us

And Iím not sure that can either

patp Chris is trying hard to catch him up, Sandra. Heart attack, pericarditis (but suspected heart attack at the time) pneumonia, Asbestosis. Prior to all those he had a double knee replacement which are at the end of their useful life now. Of course the waiting list is horrendously long now. Where is that racing snake figure of a lad that I used to dance the night away (literally) with in the sixties?

aldra We toured Scotland up to and across from John o Croats and back down the west coast

In a trailer tent

Before we could afford a motorhome

Itís beautiful

We had some fantastic family holidays in a tent with 6 kids and in a dandy eightberth trailer tent which folded out like a giant umbrella and had an underfloor gas heater

Those were the days when we walked the fells and knew every ridge route like the back of our hands, listened to Vagner on the tops of mountains and ran down skrees, looked down on clouds from above them, and watched the sun rise from the tops of mountains and often set as we got carried away and forgot the time

We will probably go up the west coast of Scotland in the MH if Alberts eye improves, still a bit blurry but he see the ophthalmologist on Wednesday, good news we hope

Plus Albert being Albert he has developed a hernia at the site of his bowel cancer op so that will need sorting out

Do you lot even realise I have got the patience of a saint and Iím still by his side 56 and a half years later

Pudsey_Bear We've not been up there for over two years now, its our second home but we're a bit wary of what the normally great people are going to be like when we do go up.

patp Thanks Kev. I enjoyed that. It is on my wish list to do tour of Scotland but life keeps getting in the way. We did fly up, once, to stay in a lodge on the banks of Loch Ness. We hired a car and came to realise how long it took to get anywhere so it needs a good chunk of time to do it justice especially if driving up from the South of England.
