Assuming that the lever broke off at the pivot point, you should be able to pull out the plug fairly easily as it should not be being compressed by the action of the lever, it should be possible to push it out from below using a piece of dowel rod (not a screwdriver or chisel.....), if necessary tapping it with a rubber mallet (the dowel rod). Once out, replacing the lever and pivot should be feasible - it is not thick so perhaps a dressmakers pin would suffice and could be bent to hold it in place, ideally clipping off the point after putting it through and bending it. The force is only applied when the lever is pushed flat. Hope that suggestion proves more economic than buying a new one. If it is the rod through the bung that has failed it may be possible to make up a new rod from stainless steel, but that would require a pivot hole to be drilled accurately through it..... If the lever itself has broken at the pivot point, it would not be so easy to sort out IMO, so a new one may be the only answer - sorry... |

Try CAK Tanks, they stock most things to do with tanks and water works, really helpful company. http://www.caktanks.co.uk When I get around to winterising our 2003 Kontiki, I will measure the size if that would help. We are still using the MH when we go to our daughter's house to help with childcare. (French restrictions). |

Fresh water drain bung Morning. Due to the restrictions here I can't see me going very far for the time being. I decided to drain the fresh water tank. On replacing the bung the lever on top snapped. The bung is in place and holding fast but at some point I'm going to need another. Are they a standard size or make / model specific? If I can find the size I can buy a replacement and have it ready otherwise I'll have to sacrifice the existing. It's a 2004 Adria Coral on a Ducato 90litre If anyone knows the dimensions I'd be grateful |
