Guzziando Hi,

Yes the alarm is now working.

jiwawa Glad you got it sorted. Does your alarm work OK?

Guzziando Thank you for your responses.

After further investigation, it is -ve, and part of the factory fitted alarm. Panic over!

It is a year 2000 Autohomes Windfall.

There was an excellent website someone set up for their Autohomes Wanderer: http://www.ourwanderer.uk It was such a good site, with so many great examples of modifications the owner had made. It is such a shame it no longer exists.

Pudsey_Bear Rays approach seems the best one for now, I'd tape it anyway as there is voltage present.

Black and white was a common usage for speaker wires in the past.

You say it came out of a terminal block, can you see if there is a section of broken wire in one of the holes?

raynipper Of course you could just wait and see if anything now doesn't work. If not don't worry about it and tape it up.

Ray.

Timetoroam Get a wiring diagram of the base build or say what year and type of base build so someone could have a look for you.

EJB A picture or even a name/model of the terminal block would help.
It may produce a wiring diagram from someone here or on You Tube?

Autohomes (now Eldds) Black and White Wire

I decided to tidy up the wiring under my seat, but a wire came out of the terminal block. This wire is Black and White in colour, but I do not know if it is supposed to be connected to the +ve or -ve side. There is a voltage of 11v on it, which is lower than the battery reading. I have tried to follow the wire, it seems to be part of a loom which goes to the front of the van (Peugeot Boxer mk1).

How do I work out which side to connect it to? I do not want to do any damage.

Thank you in advance.
