Some random clips and photos of where we get to on the scooter when away in the Motorhome. Between being cooped up at home and the effects of chemo I'm fed up and bored so looking through some hol. photos , maybe you will recognise some places .Starting with Ireland.

This is much more fun than reading the endless and pointless political bickering. Cant even read the coronavirus thread now it's been consumed by the I hate the government gang.

Loved the Pyrenees especially the valley up from Argeles Gazost, Luz St Saveur, Col de Tourmalet and my absolutely fave spot Lac de Gaube. Haven't been back that way for a few years. Maybe on the list when I get back on the road. I'm missing France already. Sharing holiday experiences and pics is a great way to keep the mental vibe in +.

I haven't done much travelling in Provence. Every time I head off down that way I end up doing a Shot'left into Switzerland. Vaud and Valais regions. Magnetically drawn there and U never want to leave.

Thats a typo, I never want to leave. The sbb have a slogan on their trains along with a graphic of the Matterhorn. "Grave dans mon coeur". Loosely translated "Imprinted on my heart".

Not wanting to hijack Alans thread but I was enjoying it so much I dug out my old laptop hard drive and tried to find a few of our two bikes. Mostly pictures of me looking gormless with either Pig I or Pig II. The one on the back of the van is the original Peugeot on our first night away at Dover before embarking on our first ever motorhome adventure abroad in 2008. Lot of Pig miles done since then.

I've very much enjoyed these Alan! I love the slate blue water of the mountains, and I can just feel the warmth of the sun....

I just hope by the time we come out of this I haven't lost my confidence.Iwish I'd learned to ride a scooter while I could - it opens up so much.

I think its nice if other people join in with Alans thread with happy sunny pictures of holidays past,
first it helps to keep Alan at the top of the page

and second its a nice light thread to follow instead of all the doom and gloom we are getting, we hear enough of that on the news, in fact thats all I ever hear on Skynews., so only look once a day.

Snap. There are just literally thousands of photos and a fair few videos. Ive barely scratched the surface this morning. For us its all been about the scooter really. We are almost like Tuggers in a way as the van is just a base. The last trip to Europe over four months the bike did more miles than the van in the end.

I put most of the recent videos that were filmed on the bike into a playlist but there must be loads before I got the helmet cam. Will have to try and find them https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL_Xr4GPzzQq_CQtI9QsWn9KJrp9mMBS9G

What can be better than drifting along some backwater roads in Provence in the early evening sun, finding a little village bar and enjoying an ice cold glass of wine or a beer? One if my fondest memories was our first visit to the Annecy area and Lac du Bourget. I think it was around Bastile day in 2009. Annecy was heaving but we headed off one day over the hills to Lac du Bourget where it was much quieter and did a circular of the lake. It was scorching hot and every few miles we would look for a place to jump off the bike and dive in. Everything was magical. Balmy hot evenings swimming in Lake Annecy drunk at 1am :D and somehow finding chips on the way back to the van. happy days. I am sure they will return for you and all of us.
