|barryd||That looks like a UK plan though. Just so everyone is aware Jan is resident in Germany so needs a German plan and provider hence the difficulty in anyone recommending one|
This plan is worth a look. I donít go down the social media route but if you do this could be for you.
|jiwawa||It certainly makes life interesting!|
Health is everything and after that life is what you make it.
From very humble beginnings to a 'millionaire' and back to humble endings. Seen both ends of the spectrum like religion. I was a Billy Graham convert and a Baptist Lay Preacher but now as an Atheist I have again seen both sides.
|jiwawa||Love your problems Ray!!|
Agreed Jan but I feel Drew likes the cut and thrust of 'fencing' while defending the Apple clique.
Mind you if I wanted to expand this topic within a topic I could suggest it might be a little jealousy? The life we lead is envious even from some of our very affluent friends. Always wining and dining several times a week and then taking off for three months to warmer climes. Not everyone can manage or have the stamina to do all we do. Mind you I must concede to having good health so far and not everyone has that good fortune (as we all know).
p.s. there is a downside to all this socialising. Like today when we engage with 25 to 30 Anglo/French group at coffee. By the time I get round kissing and hugging all the widows and friends my hot chocolate is cold.!!! But it's a cross I can bear.
|JanHank||Well said Raymond. 👍 and who would want the bother of upping sticks at our ages, what you are saying Drew is quite ridiculous for the want of a better word.|

Wining and dining is a reciprocal arrangement. Like the three hour drama show in a vast old Chateaux last night inc drinks and nibbles for the grand sum of Ä4. Virtually £4 with the exchange rate our lowly state pension provides.
Moving back to UK is financially impossible for us as property costs anywhere near the family are so far out of our reach as to be only achieved with a lottery win. And moving back to a cheaper locale we would be further away than here in Normandy.
Thanks for you concern and offer of gifts but they are really not needed. We manage on our shoestring quite well.

There is one solution, sell up and return to the UK, you will then have no worries about an exchange rate.
Do your self a favour, stop moaning about your finances and start enjoying yourself.
Don't worry Peter if we leave the EU we will all be in more debt.!!! 1 GBP = 1.10710 EUR
