We were able to help at a MH fire near Shepton after a show and it was truly frightening, even from 100m+ away.
We were able help the injured driver as the vehicle burned - the Fire Service came while we were there and their comment was to stand well clear as such fires are impossible to contain once they have taken a full hold. They cautioned that the gas cylinders represented a massive explosion risk, hence their precautionary distance and use of high power foam sprays.
The driver's injuries were not severe thankfully, we had to get him out -against normal practice, simply because of the evidence of the fire while we were with him. I shudder to think what would have been his fate without outside help to get out.
When the gas cylinders exploded, individually the MH disintegrated into pieces of scrap, only the engine block remained intact, the wheels were reduced to just the rims + numerous metal bands from the tyres in under 20 minutes.....
Not an experience I wish for any closer involvement. Truly terrifying.
You can't beat a metaphor.
Anybody been brave enough to click the link yet?
This is what they added to the snipped quote.
They will spray a lot of water around around to contain the fire but they are never able to actually extinguish the fire until it’s run it’s course at https://edubirdie.org/
|tugboat||Looks like English may not be VW's first language.|
|tugboat||I'm not sure Sexybint would be available. I believe Felixtowe docks are very busy these days.|
It's the individual's third dodgy post Jan.
Just like the one from "Salamanca" who is a mega grower. Yeh right.🤔
Bring back sexybint for some normality. 😆

I'll not be clicking to find out though.

The couple of facts I learnt were that a “car accessory” sized fire extinguisher (like we used to carry in police patrol cars) will probably not have enough “stuff” to put out a car fire unless it’s caught VERY early on, and, by the time the fire service turn up there isnt a cat in hells chance of THEM having enough to put it out!! It is terrifying to see just how FIERCE a vehicle fire is.
