peribro We only tow in the UK so are happy with an A-frame. If I was going to tow in Europe then it would definitely be a trailer.

Negatives of an A frame are that it's virtually impossible to reverse with one - so saying it's not often necessary if you are careful and I've only had to decouple once in 10 years. Advantages are that it's easier to attach and decouple than using a trailer. Also no issues about where to put the trailer when on a pitch.

Are you kidding, this car is great, it came with the LPG already installed. Italy had an incentive program for the conversion so it was new. Bought it 10 years ago, still seems new, all that plastic just doesn't wear out. Costs nearly nothing to drive. Of course it is gutless and we really only use it around town. But it has 4 doors, ac, and we have not had any problems. Now we have to by law replace the LPG tank, that's a cost. We have always had a bigger car for out of town trips. I taught my daughter to drive in it, so the clutch has a bit of a chadder, at times.

It is great for what we use it for, but I would not want one if it was the only car in the family.

raynipper Previously we always chose to tow a toad on an 'A' frame despite all the doom and gloom people saying it was illegal. We got stopped twice in France by plod who were only interested in it being braked.
Horses for courses of 'course' and mostly we had a 7.4L to 9L engine under the hood/bed. We found unhitching took seconds and no extra space needed on sites. But it wouldn't suite everyone and I accept that.

erneboy Made by these people: http://www.remolquesfeba.es/pageID_6071232.html

I bough it from an agent called Remolques Bastida but they aren't coming up on a web search now. I've had mine six or seven years now. The exchange rate was in my favour then of course.

Mine is a little like the first one on the page I linked to but the design has changed a bit.

Not sure about Italy but there’s certainly reported legal issues re A Frames in Spain and some reporting of having to de-couple by the police. Also be aware there can be issues using automatic cars and A Frames.

erneboy I tow on a trailer, but A frame would be fine too. Once you've had the car with you you won't want to do without it.
