|barryd||Safeguard dropped mine after it became 20 years old (actually it might have been the breakdown cover) so I went to AIB who seem to be able to cover just about anything as they tailor the quote for you needs. As a "Fruitcake" Captain you get a discount (assuming you know the funny handshake and gesture).|

|Pudsey_Bear||Ours is 2002, last was 2000, no problems, we use BG insurance.|
12 plus had no problems with our last MH.
The Caravan Clubs (Red Pennant) overseas vehicle did go up by £100 or so at the 10 year point and the cash return was cut by 50% for spares.
We use the personal and vehicle cover.
Insurance for older MHs getting more difficult?
Recently I have come across comments on difficult getting Insurance cover for older MHs
One comment referred specifically to Full-Time cover, which seems to be available only from Aviva as Underwriters, albeit through different brokers. The reported limit was no MHs over 10 years.
I personally have encountered difficulty with our 16 year MH in Poland, even with Allianz who are currently our Insurers on a UK policy, but will not insure over 12 years.
Would people please list any experiences they have had in obtaining cover based on age of the MH.
Thanks for replies.
