Just googled and 200 watts of panels will (best case) output 16 amps, so it’s borderline.

Refillable is easy, but the initial outlay is high unless it is going to be used for years - I reckon it took around 3 1/2 years to cover the installation costs with the reduced LPG price. To me, the biggest benefit was for my back - not having to lift cylinders out and filled ones back in to a difficult space.
Neither do I, which is why I was asking what options for changeover tanks there are in France.
I'll also have 200 watts of solar and the regulator can feed excess solar power (once the batteries are charged) to power the fridge. Nice little perk during the warmest part of the day.
Not having actually laid eyes on the Hymer and not knowing the size of tanks I wasn't completely sure what would fit. It's all done by reading so far. Very frustrating as I'm a completely DIY kinda person.
Loadsa room. I would expect you can get two 13kg. bottles in there.
I had a two large Gaslow cylinder system and would rarely use EHU when touring France. I would get through one of the large cylinders in around 3-4 weeks. Don’t underestimate how much gas a fridge uses when it’s warm!!
I reckon your two 6kg cylinders would not be anywhere near enough for 90 days
|wfdTamar||Thanks. Yes I think I've read they fit, but the gauges are hard to read without mirrors or a better type of gauge, but if you have two tanks that's not a big deal.|
Just a thought but your picture shows the "old fashioned" set up of cylinder mounted regulator which needs to be switched from bottle to bottle.
If you bought and fitted a bulkhead mounted regulator then all you'd need would be the relevant "pig tail" hoses for whichever countries bottles you were using.
The Hymers gas locker looks to be big enough for full size (11Kg) propane bottles.

Investing in refillable is a long term consideration. Not worth doing unless you are sure that you will be MH'ing for at least 5 years IMO.
In France gas is readily available but it requires a different regulator to Calor which is NOT available here.
For 90 days with a decent solar array you are likely to use gas only for the fridge and cooking in the summer and two 6kg cylinders for 90 days would be marginal IMO. You could leave one Calor at home, get an equivalent sized French cylinder and primarily use that for gas while in France. Use the Calor second cylibder ONLY when the French one runs out while you source another, then back to the French one and do on.
That way you may well take a French cylibder back to the UK, but so what ? You can then use that next time you come to this massive country. French cylinders are MUCH cheaper to buy than Calor IMO.
That method will cost much less than refillable but does still require cylibder changes.....
