I'm wiring in my reversing camera monitor tomorrow, can anyone tell me where I'll find an easily accessible ign live? on the right hand side of the dash if possible.

If there is any switch on that side of the dash that’s ignition dependent then that’s your answer (just be sure to use the feed side!!

Much better would be to pick up the feed from the reverse light switch, or the reverse light circuit itself, then the monitor (and camera) will only come one when you engage reverse!

I prefer to be able to use the camera when the vehicle is not just in reverse. I do have 2 cameras one for reverse and one for driving that function automatically as I change gear, it it's nice to be able to swop at will.

Sorted, I used the brake light fuse.

Just check that the brake light circuit is actually only live when the ignition is switched on as many (if not all) now tend to be permanently live. If that's the case then you could end up with a flat battery over a few weeks!

Dead easy to check, just plant your foot on the brake pedal whithout keys in the ignition, if the brake lights DONT illuminate you are sorted. If they do then seek out the wiper or heater blower fuse.
