Eveing all ,

just received my new awning , but the motor home has gone back for some minor repairs , i forgot to measure the diameter of the kador slot in the awning track , i phoned the motor home dealers ,he said a 6mm drill fits in it nicely .....NOW do i get a 6mm kador strip or a 4mm , the websites are saying omnistor awing kador 6mm x 4mm or 6mm x 6mm ..the vango site are saying 6mm x 4mm and 6mm x 6mm are available ....all very confused now, i know i just need it 3 meters long :confused:

would 4 mm strip be ok in a 6mm slot easy to get in but could it pull out OR 6mm and it may be a tight fit to drag it through 3 meters but never pull out ????

Your awning already has a beading attached, that’s what feeds into the channel in the front of your wind out awning, so why do you need anything else? UNLESS of course it’s a drive away in which case you will need a double sided adapter strip, along with a double sided beading to fit into your awning rail AND the adapter strip (which will also attach to the beading on your drive away)

Why not wait ‘til you have your MH to hand? That way you will know EXACTLY what you need.

Andy

P.s. l am pretty sure a 4mm bead will not pull out of a 6mm channel as I have a 3m, “Tencate” material sunshade that is a pretty slack fit (4mm??) in the 6mm channel and it certainly doesn’t pull out!!
