awning end cap

Thank you for the reply jiwawa. The awning end stops are not the same . The small one the one I have fits to the rear of the van. The front one is about 8" long and diverts the rain water down the A post. The middle picture shows were it used to be.I have never see this awning rail fitted to a caravan. The awning is fitted to the awning rail using a figure of eight plastic strip common with most campers.I am sure I have seen them on small auto sleeper vans but it would appear as they get older no one is carrying parts.

jiwawa So it's not a wind-out awning, it's just a rail for feeding an edge-of-material into, like on a caravan?

If that's the case, would the other end-stop not just be a mirror image of the one you have? In which case I'd imagine (I know nothing about 3-D printing) that it was possible.

awning end caps

There must be someone on here that has an older camper with an awning . This would not just have been used on a vw it would have been used on most vans in the 90s.

awning end caps

Thanks for the reply it is not possible to use 3D printing as I do not have the front awning stop

jiwawa Is that a candidate for the 3-D printing people talk about?

Awning end caps

I hope someone on here can help me. I have a 1998 20 year old vw t4 Bilbo camper . I have had it for 19 years. It has a full length awning rail that finishes with two black rubber caps.Over the years the sunlight has made them brittle and hard I need to replace them. I have contacted Bilbo who have supplied me with new stops but they are for a T6 a later model and do not fit my awning rail .They put me in touch with a company called Vantastic but there end caps do not fit. The only advice I am getting is to change the awning rail at a cost of £150.
There are lots of older campers out there its just knowing were to find the parts
Can you help
