MHF Insurance

I have just renewed after choosing MHF for the first time last year. Again I chose Platinum cover as I found it provides all I need, especially with being away for 7 or 8 weeks in Europe.
Of course, you only find out how good your insurance is when you make a claim, and I hope I don't have to, but with a company like Aviva it should be good.

After three phone calls with SAGA they eventually decided that their breakdown cover did not include Morocco. They also wanted specific dates for the 'green' card. I'm not very good at dates - April to June/ Julyish wasn't good enough

ADAC cover would have got around this but I have now renewed with MHF Insurance. Good cover at a competitive price.

Van passed it's MOT this morning. So now ready and raring to go

Shame I've a few more weeks work yet

Hi Jedi. ADAC Plus will cover vehicle and personal for Morocco, as they did for us couple of years ago. Looking at what benefits one gets, I have kept it going. I did confirm with ADAC that they covered Morocco in particular. Hope this helps.

jedi Just had quote from MHF for £294.00 which is about £14.00 cheaper than my Comfort renewal for exactly the same Aviva policy.

This includes full 365 UK and European breakdown cover with RAC.

Queried with Comfort and it seems my 5% MHF discount is to blame

SAGA was even less but need to assure myself of their Moroccan cover as the girl seemed a bit unsure before I decide.

Motorhome Facts £385
MHF Platinum £441

I'm going to call them shortly but does anyone know if the recovery option includes a vehicle weighing 5000lbs and 7+ metres in length?

Cheers

Hi
I have just got my renewal notice from M F H,still the best value, tried Saga and a few others but with platinum you get European break down cover at only 60.00 more, beats all the rest I asked.

bognormike yes, loyalty is useless these days I posted a couple of weeks back about our renewal from C&CC, after 12 years with them the premium shot up. I got a quote from MHF and went with that, much cheaper. But will keep checking each year

You're absolutely right

I just finished on the phone to MHF and they confirmed what you just said - no limits.

My insurance increased by £68 this year due to the fact that I keep mine on the road outside my home - as I did last year. Apparently, AVIVA will no longer offer cover on motorhomes parked on the road for new customers. It's only available for existing customers with an increase in premium to cover the risk.
