I assume this is for a Seitz 7z window with central locking. There is a procedure with good dialogue on You Tube. It isn't difficult. Window stay isn't involved. Remove all the plastic bits and feed the old "tape"thro' the left hand gap. Clean all channels, furniture spray ideal, and reuse the spring for future use, around the centre, bottom . Feed the new "tape " in checking correct left and right ! Note the order of plastic bits and re-snap into place when the "tape" is in place. Nice easy job. Bill |

Hymer dometic window locking strip The locking strip has broken on my Dometic/ Seitz window. I have purchased a replacement from Brownhills, not cheap at £58.. but just asking how to remove the old. There is a flare in the aluminium surround which I guess would allow the strip to feed in through but do you need to remove the window stay to allow more room. |
