Prince Igor by Borodin

I have the Opera on VHS cassette recorded off the TV years ago.
A very colourful Opera with some fantastic music.
In this you will hear the music "stranger in Paradise" At 6 minutes comes the introduction to it, I just wish there were no choir.

My Godson worked as a dresser at the Royal Opera house and I had tickets to watch many rehearsals, every one I saw was in full costume.
I had the great privilege to see him in L`Elisir d`Amore from which this comes as you will know ,but many won't
One of his most well known I think.

I wonder how many ears could bare the din on Barry post, clear orf heathen.>:)

You may not see this tonight or maybe never :frown2:
I saw your request on the email so lets try.

One instrumental part and the famous duet. I have chosen this old version with Domingo & Milnes because it has English sub titles

OR the full Opera

I'm no expert Pat, in fact I often don't remember the titles, but can whistle the tune and sometimes Hans will recognise it and name that tune.:grin2:
Excerpts from the opera's I like but couldn't sit and just listen I need the visuals as well.
