I would not be without my Cadac Carri chef 2
I took me 4 years to persuade my good lady we needed one. And the very first meal I cooked on it, she agreed. And it is so easy to clean too. Cooked everything on it from a full chicken to Paella, corned beef hash to full english.
|Jimnibob||Fabulous piece of kit and easily stowed. Use it mainly to take on beaches away from my campervan. Best ever use was sitting on the beach in Northumbria cooking moules mariniere. Glass of white wine and rustic bread to soak up the lovely stock juices. Yummy|
|Tango14||we went for the cadac grillogas in the end, great bit of kit|
A lot of campsites, including the Club ones, allow charcoal BBQ's but NOT wood burners.Found this out at the New Forest last year.
|Leffe NL||From experience, how many sites allow charcoal BBQ's? Do many restrict to gas only? I was surprised the other week to be allowed to light a BBQ on sites.|

Wow, that got all busy
Thanks for more input and quality banter as always
I'm looking at this one, although the paella pan might be better instead of the additional pan that comes with it. We used to do various types of paella on the beaclare
We use one of these. Ideal for 2-4 people and rapid to set up and clean.
Uses very little charcoal too.. And very light weight.
Just sayin ... LOL

It's replacement? Well, that's a Carri Chef 2 (with the pan etc). We've kept the paella dish we used to use with the old Carri Chef which we found was great for making curries, stir fries, Bolognese sauce, chilli con carne and well, Paella. We'll see how the new pan works out, if I find I don't need the Paella pan in the MH any more it'll come home for making Paella there.
I found I had to use a wind-break with the old Carri Chef, I'll see how the new combination works.
