    Hi Richard,

Many thanks for replying and thank also for offering to do the conversion for me. However, even though they are copyright, please feel free to use them yourself as I'm sure they will be put to good use.

You really should be a member to stay at club sites and cl sites, but I've found only club sites require membership details. CLs seem to be grateful for the business and don't normally ask for proof of membership!

Probably would be best to email them to you. My email address is [email protected].

    Kind regards, Barry

    Good morning Morph,

Sorry to bother you, but is it possible to insert Caravan and Motorhome Club pois, which are in csv format, into Osmand?

There are two files, one for club sites and one for cls.

I have been a member for 21 years and it is a pain finding sites through Sygic when I use Osmand for everything else.

    Thanks, Barry

    Hi Bill.

On Osmand, you can turn off the POI overlays by clicking on the Menu (box with 3 horiztontal lines). Then Configure Map. Then make sure the slider next to POI is to the left.

The Points of Interest overlays in Osmand are incredibly detailed and incredibly useful.

    Richard

Bill again, just had a thought that tracking thingy you used might do the trick.
Basically if I was to have a heart attack or similar in the wilds of wanny I need Hazel ( who is technology wobbly) to be able to quickly call for help. cheers

Hi Richard looking at mapsme and osmand, and have now got both on my phone.
Osmand seems to cover the maps with orange dot poi's.
Maps me has a paucity of information.

I have my tomtom go 50 which we use and have just bought an 8gb card that I want to use to put campsites and aires etc onto, when I decide to take the plunge. I used to be very decisive and have no problem multitasking but I seem to go around things so much these days before making decisions. I plead the age thing 80 in August.

However we have booked ferries for a 9 week trip Calais, Dordogne,Tarn valley, through Pyrenees, down to the Picos and return Santander to Plymouth
Hazel worries about us having an accident or emergency when we go off the beaten track abroad.
Do you know of an offline app that gives elemental position information.

    best wishes
    Bill
