Glad you are getting th hang on the new kit.

Re the 1005. the answer seems to be, if you have the option, to load a mapzone rather than the whole map. The problem with this is that you can only load one Mapzone and if you want to cross into another Mapzones coverage you have to connect to the computer, log in to TT and change the Zone. The only improvement you can make on this is to download all the mapzones for the map and save on the PC then when when you need to change the Mapzone you connect the TT to the PC and change the zone and because you have all the zones on your PC you do not need an internet connection

Just an update on my Go Camper. I am almost fully conversant now with all its setting lol
I still have my 1005 Go Live but have read that updates to it can send it doolally, so I will use it in the car as is.

Hello again Doug, (I'm not certain my reply went the first time........So I'm repeating it here.)

You have gone to a lot of trouble and effort, and I am very grateful for all you have done. It is late Sunday night and I have a lot to absorb, so I'll read it all again tomorrow evening when I return home.

I have a TomTom50 with no 3D mapping, but I have already learned from your helpful notes that the main reason things were not working was because I had not synced my device to my pc. That is now done, and suddenly, all the "My Place" favourites on my device appear on "My Drive" on my pc.

Sadly it doesn't yet seem to work the other way yet, as although I have now added a couple of small OV2 files to my pc they have not synced back and appeared on my device yet. Hence the need for a clear head tomorrow.

Once again, thank you for all the help you have provided so far, and I will certainly not do a reset without talking to you first.
