Very true, but I neither asked for or wanted it, so why was it done, why did they not tell me they were doing it, why make it seem like I had paid.

I think they have realised you are a knowledgeable member Kev and decided to keep you on here.

Got to give VS credit for that, lots of forums give free membership to the most valuable, helpful members. Good on them and well done VS, nice to have something positive to say about them.

Kev, that's what I suspect they've done. I'd let the issue pass perhaps - none of us would want them to change their minds!

I agree, but it is the method of doing it, and not admitting it. Just not right, the site should be free anyway, it does little or nothing for us beyond being here, whilst they enjoy vast profits from our just being here.

To be honest Kev I Dont see how VS make any money from this site. The subs fees wouldnt pay my diesel to St Tropez I suspect. Unless they are duping advertisers into spending money on ads based on throughput figures from ten years ago maybe. Having an idea what they paid for this site I cant see how they can ever recoup that as it is now.

Ditto - I'd be very surprised if they're making very much at all, let alone getting an acceptable return on their investment.

So why are they bothering without taking onboard any members suggestions?

Dave.

Who knows Kev

Maybe a business tax loss

Meanwhile it’s here, and so are the remaining people we’ve come to care for
