so I have just seen having read your post, but I have heard NOTHING from anyone at VS in response to messages, only seen what has been posted - a shoddy way to behave IMO.

The whole status has gone..... so I will have to ask again next year if I want to stay on, although after the last few days that is debatable sadly....... I will see what this year brings.......

I think I must be missing something Dave

Ithoughtyou thought the badge was just a mistake on someone's part

And therefore you thought it was funny, not quite SIR, but almost !!

I would not be impressed with any ones title on here

It's just a forum on the surface

Iam however impressed with the Dave I know and love

So stuff admin and its mistakes

People on here are your friends

pS If I got the accolade would that make me a Madame?

On second thoughts don't answer that

Dammit. I wish I had had the foresight to screen dump Daves badge. I could have made a fortune amending peoples Avatars to make it look like they were premier members. Bah!

Post #3 on this thread explains it although I haven't tried it as I used PayPal.

There IS an alternative and it is explained in post number 3 on page 1 - follow it precisely and it does work PROVIDED YOU ARE LIVING IN THE UK AND NOT FRANCE.

It appears that PayPal France does not allow the same sort of 3rd party payments that PayPal UK does - I do not know about other European countries as I'm not there and have not tried anywhere else....

If you do not have a PayPal account (as I don't), then follow the directions given and you will be offered the chance to pay by other methods, select one of those.

I genuinely hope others manage the system OK if they ARE outside the UK and that it is ONLY France that has these observed oddities.......

Like others have said, I feel this thread has run it's course and would also like it closed/locked/deleted or whatever - it may well be serving as a negative influence now. I believe that VS have tried to do what they originally said they would do (months ago) when the renewal system was first questioned. Yes, a mistake was made about my status, but it was a mistake and we all make them so I have no intention of laying the blame on any member of the VS Admin team.........

Please let this thread wither and die from public view........

Dave
