omnistor 5002 too high

when putting up the awning how do folks reach to drop down the legs? I would have to be 7 foot tall to reach mine.

As you wind it out it should drop lower the further it comes out, the recommended wind out before it starts to stress the side panel is 1m.

That's enough for me being 6ft tall, however my better half is vertically challenged so when she does it she uses a step.

Yes I know many wind it right out before dropping the legs, each to their own.

hight

Hi thanks for link, the height of the awning is perfect for him but nothing like real life , they always make it look so easy. I wonder if the pitch is adjustable on the 5002 then I could possibly adjust the height to make it reachable.

Adjusting the pitch is not really an option, I tried it but it the wouldn't retract and lock properly, and was a bxgger to set correctly again.

Just keep winding it out until it drops down enough for you to reach. The French, in particular, seem to favour this method.
I regularly wind mine a long way out for cleaning and no harm comes to it. (Kiss of death!)

I'm not signing anything.

The two impulses in travel are to get away from home, and the other is to pursue something - a landscape, people, an exotic place. Certainly finding a place that you like or discovering something unusual is a very sustaining thing in travel.
