Graham, I suspect it will take just as long as setting up a tent. The poles will pull apart on a bungee for packing, they'll have to be threaded through the cover, then tensioned into the base to produce the shape. What a faff.

If you Google "Awning" on it's own, you get what I have nailed to the side of the van and winds out, I believe the word comes from the Romans they used similar in the colosseum to protect that Caesar bloke when he was knocking up a salad.
