Fiamma Carry-Bike on a Dethleffs

I have a pre-owned Fiamma Carry-Bike Pro rack ready to fit, but would like to know if there are any built in strong points/zones to use in Dethleffs MHs (mine's a Summer Edition 2008, before I go drilling holes and just (carefully!) put it where I judge to be best, taking into account what’s on the inside to avoid anything obvious such as cupboards etc.

Also anyone got any idea how thick the wall is? It feels like about 1.5 to 2 inches - the bolts I have were cut down from the standard supplied length, so probably need to get some longer ones.

I think you need to either ask a Dethleffs dealer, the company or Fiamma for this information, or possibly find and measure up the same model, they just put some hardwood blocks into the back panel at strategic points, but if you miss them and tighten the bolts it will crush the wall, not sure if a simple stud finder might work or not.
