Unhappy Accessing Bathroom Sink for Repair

Just purchased a 1996 Dethleffs A5830 motorhome. It has one of those crazy swinging sinks in the bathroom ... anyway ... we need to replace the faucet and tighten up a fitting that is leaking with the cold water. How do you gain easy access to that area. The "hole" under the sink it so small that we cannot get our hand in to do any repairs. It would appear that the sink may be able to be removed (it swings from the medicine cabinet area) and from there the top may come off ... or not ...

Does anyone have experience with this? Any suggestions? My husband is ready to rip the sink off the wall!
