Printer recommendations please?

Anyone got any recommendations for a multifunction printer (printer/scanner/copier) with reasonable/reliable performance?

Our 5 year old Epson RX425 is playing up and I'm looking for a replacement.

Had a quick look around Eroski (supermarket here in Spain) and there were several around 60 Euros - Canon, Epson, Lexmark and HP. Replacement ink cartridges seemed to be similarly priced throughout.

I'd rather buy based on recommendation so, anyone?

I use UK Pub Stopovers, but then I would

I have never been keen on Epson - have a R300 - Have three HP - 6000 series and 7000 series plus a H470 portable which I use in the van. The viera inks produce an excellent image, much brighter than the Epson

I have had my HP 3 in 1 for about 5 years now, the only thing that has happened is I have had to change the ink.

I would certainly buy another.

I have two printers in the Canon Pixma MP range. I have been very impressed indeed and would buy one of these again.

Brother mfc ,printer, scanner , copier, fax and telephone if you want it all in one and it does not say no to refilling with your own ink saves a small fortune

I agree with Canon Pixma MP series. Mine is the MP970 but that's been going a while now (flawlessly & impressively).

If you have a home network get one that plugs right in, as does mine.

I have always had Epson printers.

I have just changed to an Epson Stylus Photo PX650 and find it excellent for my needs. The quality of photo printing is superb and I have no regrets on choosing this model.

My previous printer, an Epson Stylus Photo 890 is still going strong after 8 years and has been passed down the line

I would check the ink prices before you buy any printer.
