Email from solicitor this afternoon asking for my bank details to pass on the the insurance co. when he writes.

It´s a very long complicated story behind this court case, but he had over 4,000€ from us that he never paid back in work as arranged.
His brother told us he had cheated many Germans and Poles like that by taking what he said was for building materials to do a job and never went back.

He and his wife were top con artists.

To pay me back for what I paid out yesterday morning Jean, they first told me we were responsible for the payment so not wanting to worry about it any more I paid him, then last night at almost midnight I had the email from the solicitor saying he would write to the insurance, this morning I told him I had paid it already and so he wants my details for the insurance to reimburse me. I think he must have been thinking about it to write me an email at that time of night. He has to get the papers from the archives first and then he will proceed, it may take a week or two before I hear anything.

How did you pay him Jan?
If by cheque or transfer he already has your details.

Not with you Ray, I paid the carpenter as instructed on the letter, not my solicitor.
No cheques here anymore, all done either at the bank or as I do on the internet banking.
