Bluddy Epson WF-3620 jamming

All of a sudden after maybe 2 years my brilliant Epson WF-3620 has decided not to work.
Initially it just would not connect to the computer to scan but after attempting to reload the CD it's now decided to cause and indicate a paper jam each time I power it up and try to copy.
Seems the paper gets as far as the rear set of runners and jams. But clearing it just results in the same next time. Maybe a cog is loose or dropped off.??

Any ideas or experience please?

Ray.

That might happen Drew. But only after all other possibilities have been exhausted. I try not to add to landfill.

Either you get the screwdriver out and get really mucky, or find an "expert" to do it for you. Sorry........I'm too far away !

Thanks Bill. I guess I have nothing to lose now. I will be delving into it as I like it and another is £140.
It started by not being 'seen' by the PC and now indicates paper jam even with no paper in it. But one sheet will get started into the rollers and say it's jammed. So guess the cogs are locking up.

Anyway as Drew suggested I have now ordered a new and much simpler version to be delivered tomorrow €65 inc del.

As a Christmas present to ourselves we updated our 10 year old MacBook Pro — Air — iPad and I Phone to newer models. My only regret was the phone, the new one I find is too large to be carried around in my pocket, a fantastic piece of equipment but just too big. All other items are far superior in every way.

Having upgraded I then found that my old faithful Canon MG 8510 Pixa printer was incompatible with the new computers and had to replace it, I decided to replace "Like for Like" and chose the Canon TS 9100 Pixa. The build quality of this printer compared to the old one is terrible, it produces quality prints but everything else about it is appalling.

I hope the new Epson WF-3720 will function as well as the old Epson WF-3620. I see the inks are double the price.

I assume you completely uninstalled the machine.....then 'Plug and Play' without the CD......if all OK uninstall and reinstall with the CD?
Worth a try if you didn't?

Thanks Ted. Yes uninstalled and removed from the power and PC. But even when booting it up again the first page get half way and declares it's jammed.
So some part of the rollers are locking up or misaligned.

Is it possible there is some foreign body got into it somewhere? I found a pound coin in one once that was causing it to do similar to what yours is. I hate ink jet printers. If your going to get another one I saw one the other day that had refillable inks. The printer was a fair bit but the ink bottles were cheap as chips. Think it might have been an Epson.

I dont even have a printer, well apart from the B/W laser in the office. I never ever print anything. What do people print these days?
