Bluddy phone changes settings.

I wonder if anyone can explain why the settings on my phone get changed overnight?
The phone is put on charge every night but often when I look at it next morning there are no messages and I know the sliders for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Mobile Data have all been turned to off and Airplane Mode turned to on.

No big deal changing them back again now I realise whats happening but why?

Some phones have a "do not disturb" \ "night" mode where you can set-up silent hours (airplane mode). Maybe that's what's happening?

Ah, never thought of that as it seems random and maybe once or twice a week.

I set my Samsung so that it accepts calls during the night in case of emergency, but between 2300 and 0700 notifications of texts, emails, msgs etc are silent.

Could it be, Ray, that yours is doing automatic updates during the night which is causing your changes?

Yes Tuggers, quite possibly although as soon as I see any pending updates listed I click update asap.
I will have to check into night time limitations.

Whatever it's done it again last night and changed all the settings again. No idea if there was an update.

Your many mobile phone tribulations make my expensive iPhone seem worth it.

Sorry I can't help as I've never experienced such issues.

Perhaps you wear nylon underwear and the associated static is messing with the electrickery in the phone.

Ahhh Haaa, I never thought of the underwear link Terry. Thanks.

Yeah, I guessed I would get the Apple dig. I'm almost afraid to mention AOL even in passing.
I seem to remember more people use Android. I wonder why and who am I to buck the trend?

Can assure you no ‘dig’ intended, just friendly banter.

Also, numbers aren’t always a guide, remember more people voted out but that didn’t make it right :- )

Hope you get it sorted.
