Unhappy Lost a file, don't know how to get it back :( :( DESPERATE

I'm just going through a SD card and I managed to delete an important document scan, I've looked in my recycle bin but the last files in there are from 4/1/17 I looked to see if there is a bin on the card, but don't see one, can anyone help please.

I've never tried this Kev on an SD card but the link below gives some methods - assuming it was a mac or PC.

I've used Recuva before on my sister's computer when she lost all her pics. The results were very disappointing, though it may be that she had done a lot of processing on the computer between losing and trying to find the info.

Hopefully since you haven't Kev, it will give a better result.

Kev

Mr Google came up with this
http://www.easeus.com/data-recovery/...y-freeware.htm
No idea if it's any good but has to be worth trying!!

Andy

Its not the destination that matters.

It's who you share the journey with (even if like me, it’s in a caravan!)
I am very fortunate to have Mrs Plodd to share mine with

I managed to completely mess up an sd card - a few years back - but managed to recover all the images using a recovering program - I think it may have been Recuva (as mentioned by Jean). You should be able to get them back from your sd card without too much bother or expense, Don't do any changes to it.

Do not copy any more files onto the SD card and do not format the card. The information is still there.
When you delete a file from a PC or an SD card all you are deleting is the index to that file. Not the file itself.
Think of a book, ripping out the index only means the index page is not there. but the contents are still there. Until you write over them of format the card.

Google a few programs and their are plenty online for free or a small charge. A demo might be available where you can see if it works. It might watermark the recovered file until you buy the programme.

It is pretty straight forward to recover a file.

Okay, tried Recuva, it found 2 files one on each side of the one I want it says the one I want has been overwritten by Maps.me , can't see how this can be right as the card is in my PC, PC does not have Maps.me on it and why would it write to the card anyway???

Currently trying EaseUS but it looks to be going the same way
