Rapido Habitation Door Issue

Hi,
I am the proud owner of 2006 Rapido 997M motor home. I have had it a couple of years and have nearly replaced or repair all the bits that were not 100%. One of the last issues is related to the habitation door. It locks with the key and centrally lock fine, however, there is a long vertical aluminium handle on the inside of the door which rattles about on its attachment points at the top and the bottom. When you pull on the handle it moves away from the body of the and I would imagine should operate the locking mechanism in some way. The bottom of the handle is attached to a finger plate which appears to be floating around inside the door.

Has anyone out their experienced this?
Is It meant to be like this?
If not anyone managed a repair
I have attached an image of the door below.

Thanks in anticipation
Paul

Picture too small to see anything Paul, and it looks like you have removed it from the van, so look at how it's assembled and get inside it, it's probably just age and vibration loosening the fastenings.
