We've had issues with the locks on just about every door of our Renault Master PVC. Sometimes it has been just a matter of being gunked up, but the sliding door cost us quite a bit to fix. None of the problems affected our alarm though.

Actually that's a good point about the contacts being spring loaded. Mine are too, so it shouldn't be a problem. I've been out and checked them and they are fine. The door looks slightly 'out' but not enough to stop the contacts touching where they should. Back to the drawing board I reckon

Infamy, infamy! They've all got it in for me!

Hi did you manage to get your alarm to work? my alarm has started to play up on my 2005 Renault master Devon Monte Carlo.
1. I changed the battery it was due for a change anyway.
2. I have checked all the door sensors including the bonnet they are all working! I have disconnected the fuse to the leisure battery and this made no difference.
3. I have now removed the motion sensor from the van at least the alarm won't be going off.
Any suggestion?

Not had any further problems! I didn't ever get to the bottom of exactly what the problem was......
