Geist M/Homes

Hi Everyone. We are changing our motorhome, its a Pilote Atlantis 5 six berth. We have been on holiday to Portugal for three months, just the two of us and realise we need a 2berth. The Liberty Breezer V654g or G708 on a Ford chassis would suit. Does anyone rate Geist M/Homes and what is the Ford 2.5 like, economy wise. Thank you. John.

After four years of touring from Milan to the Shetlands we cannot speak highly enough about our Touring 55 model. We have added lots of bits to it and often look at possible replacements without seeing anything better. As reliable as anything else around it is quiet, comfortable and economical. Not a 'big' name but it deserves to do better than it does.

Thank you. Boswells. The m/Home we have is spot on but at 70yrs I lived in a tree for three months. It needed a long trip to find this out, indeed the Pilote never put a foot wrong the whole time,3800 miles. I will hate to change, as being a retired motor mechanic, it as straight as a motor that you could wish for. If any of you can think of a better choice, ie. Twin bed that would fit the bill around 45,000 help. John.

sorry , the offer is in german and located in Germany , but fair
enough to give an impression how things could be

hi John ,

well I was not aware of this age-limitation in UK.
there are lots of other brands with single beds in the rear.
the LMC 708 surely is one possibility, but in most of those
3.5 tonners the lounge area is very small , only half dinette
plus a single side seat. the space feeling in those vans is fairly
bad. we`ve been in several vans of various brands during the
winter months.

here`s one of the better examples of a 3.5 tonner :

possibly you can findsomething similar in UK.

my regards

Hey Jan. Thank you for your input. I have checked out the sites, all in German and I am a typical Brit. Some of the 3500kg vans are on 7plus metres, but I do agree the bedroom can be dominant. John.

Ok Guys. Does anyone know why there is so little information about these motor homes. Does Geist still produce M/H's or are the realy LMC re badged. Why are they so heavely discounted, compared with other makes? John

well , as far as I know , Geist is only a reseller of LMC/TEC vans.
LMC is a German brand (Lord_Munsterland_Caravan).
Model designators are identical to LMC/TEC ( e.g. 708 G)

Just have a look at the regular prices at the shop of a bigger
LMC/TEC dealer in northern Germany ( as a comparism base):

http://www.spann-an.com/wohnmobile-w...fahrzeuge.html

you`ll learn that the prices are from 50K up to 60K for
a coachbuilt van (brandnew).
