I have a Frankia of 2007 vintage and have retained two of the original habitation keys which fit both habitation doors and also 13 hatch/garage door locks. I lost a key while in Greece and had two spares cut. The keys do work but due to the design of the key head, they make it difficult to turn the key on the habitation doors which have the lock barrel set into a recess in the lock. The key head is too big and catches on the side of the recess. I filed the key down so it is useable, but it makes the key fiddly to use.
I tried to get replacement keys cut at our local locksmith, but he didn't even have blanks he could use. In the past we have had keys cut in Timpsons, but sometimes these have been OK, and other times, just didn't work at all.
I think the lock/keys are made by ZADI, has anyone out there managed to find a good source of replacement keys?
