Fxed Bed sagging

I've just been away for a few days in my 2007 Frankia 840BD. My wife had been complaining when in bed about feeling like the van was parked downhill when it was obviously level so I decided to investigate. I decided to take a look at the garage ceiling and was disappointed to see that is was sagging across the middle. I then did the same with my wife and daughter in bed and was shocked to see how much the ceiling was flexing as they moved. I've looked under the 2 separate mattresses that make up the Frankia double bed and everything appears to be sound but it is definitely sagging.

Has anyone else experienced this in a Frankia or any other fixed bed configuration?

I have a 2008 bd model

I too found that the Large double bed over garage wasnt supported properly in the middle

I had it modified by frankia at their factory who fitted support members underneath at their factory

I was booked in for the modification but as it was some time off i also made my own modification

I will take photos of both for you tomorrow if you want

Both are easy fixes Perhaps you could contact Frankia and see if they will supply the supprt braces to you

I think Later models had these fitted as standard
