Lots of cameras have a voice recorder. Just record when and where you are.

I'm not signing anything.

The two impulses in travel are to get away from home, and the other is to pursue something - a landscape, people, an exotic place. Certainly finding a place that you like or discovering something unusual is a very sustaining thing in travel.

There are other more complicated ways using a GPS logger, with date and time, but too late for this job, some smartphones are a bit dumb too on geotagging, and even then you have to elect to turn it on.
