I loved him in any film he was in

90 is not a bad innings but 95 would be better in modern day life expectancy

Yep you did Jan

As I will prob lose Albert or him me

Unfortunately life expectancy is mitigated by illness

But 80 is So much better than many manage

I hope we do better because that only gives us three more years

But if you visit Christies you would appreciate 80 is a really good innings compared to many

Itís all a matter of perspective at the end of the day

I am sad to say RIP as he was an incredible actor and his style shows through in every role, from Bond to King John in Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves. He was a staunch supporter of independence for Scotland although he lived in the Bahamas, he said he would return to Scotland when it became independent - probably because he would save tax money.

Sadly there were numerous proven reports of his violence towards women; his mid 60's interview with Playboy stated his willingness to hit women and he repeated that in 1993 although he added the rider " that he would hit a woman but not in the same way as a man". His first wife divorced him for proven violence towards her.

So, a mixed history, but a superb actor for whom Credit must be given for making the Bond series the icon they now are, from 'Dr No" onwards he was truly great.

RIP Sean

Any typo that I make means the errorists win.

Any comments above are only MY OPINION and should be read as that.

I didnít know that Dave

And I must admit I dont feel the same way towards him since learning that

He would hit a woman but not in the same way as he would hit a man?

I donít have any problem with a man hitting a woman as I donít have a problem with a woman hitting a man,if thatís what they Mutually choose to do

But if the violence is one way on either side well thatís different

I know the normal is that a man would hit harder than a woman so there fore unacceptable

But my guess is is some women pack a powerful punch, and many men hold back retaliating

Each to their own

If Albert ever hit me heíd be long gone and I guess the same would apply if I took to punching him

But we are far to old and long married to test that theory Now

I too enjoyed what I saw of his films.

But I'm not sure how staunch a supporter you can be of Scottish independence if you deny the government taxes that would benefit the people of Scotland.

Well he sort of flew his real colours when he promoted Japanese blended Whisky.

Sorry, I should have posted a link or three to support those allegations, Mr Google has a lot of hits, from his first wife and the Barbara Walters interview where he stated "better to use a flat hand rather than a closed fist but some women work up to it".

This article written since his death, may well explain, it includes a video but also sadly, for me, a vast number of adverts..... sorry if it that is the same for you;
