Actually he was in the early days, he wanted to sing but was way too nervous to go alone, so lifetime pal Andrew, agreed to start up with him, eventually Andrew dropped out.

I saw George Micheal at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert at Wembley Stadium in 1992.
All the performers sang Queen songs,and without doubt his version of ' Somebody
To Love' was the best of the whole concert.He was a talented singer/songwriter.
Just a shame he couldn't shake off his demon's!
