2007 Lunar 786 Roadstar exterior habitation light

Hi
I have had the above Lunar 786 Roadstar from new. I have a problem with the outside lamp over the habitation door. The main bulb has blown and the glass has stated to yellow on the inside.
I have removed the exterior cowling but there appears to be no way of getting into the main lamp itself.
Any ideas?

Hi and welcome to MHF Blueboy.

Perhaps posting a picture of the lamp may help us to help you, it shouldn't be that difficult though.

Maybe accessed from inside the MH?

I know I don't post that much to the site but amazingly OP joined in May 2005 and this is his first post!

If this is the first time you've felt the need to ask for help, you've obviously had many trouble free hours/years of motorhoming. You can of course often get the answer you are looking for by just searching and reading.

I, earlier this year, had to change the bulb on my awning light and found that the bulb was one of those four contact tube thingies - I expect they have a technical name - and I couldn't find a replacement.

It was when I was going through my led phase so decided to replace the the whole fitting with an led replacement. My usual online shopping method was not available as I was away from home but I found a very neat led awning lamp at Go Outdoors (other retailers are available).

The existing lamp had been glued - possibly with a sikaflex type of adhesive - and proved quite difficult to remove but I was eventually successful and pleased with the result.

They do the long narrow strip version but this one is handy to cover any holes etc left after removing the old lamp.
