Pilote questions

I own a Pilote G 742 build in 2012, I have to register in Germany after picking it up from the UK.
I hope that Pilote owners are able to answer 2 questions,

1. How do I obtain a COC for registration purposes in Germany ( the previous owner has not got it )
2. As the vehicle was build in France but sold as a new car in the UK I am not sure if I need to replace the headlights or if they can be adjusted.

Thank you for any answers

For a CoC Pilote will supply, request via https://www.pilote.fr/ it will cost around 130€

You will need the VIN No. and probably the Pilote build reference, which you will find on the slam panel, possibly proof of ownership.

As to the lamps not had that type so can't be any help, maybe if rayc sees this he will be able to.

Just had a thought, if you wish to register in Germany you should tell Pilote that when you request, I don't know about Germany but France want them in their own language.
I can vouch for that as I've just registered one here in France that I purchased in Germany and had to get the French worded documents for.

There is a very helpful group on Facebook called 'Pilote Motorhome Owners' who might be able to answer your questions.

Hope this helps.

We have sorted the issue with the COC. The previous owner ( which is a friend of ours) has contacted the dealer he purchased the vehicle from and they will send the COC to him. So by the time we will be in the uk we will have the certificate .

We just registered a new Pilote motorhome in Germany, bought from a German dealer. The Fiat COC is in English, the Pilote COC is in French, both supplied by the dealer. The German KFZ-Zulassungsstelle said danke schön and gave us a German Fahrzeugbescheinigung. They said nothing about the COC language.

From past experience and all the information I have gathered I think there will be no problem with the registration. I am glad we got the COC because 3 years ago when we bought our Hymer in the UK and registered it in Germany we needed a voll Abnahme by the TUV which was quite expensive. The one thing I am still unsure about is the headlights on the Pilote. The Hymer headlights could be adjusted and I hope this will be the case with the Pilote as well.
