Hymer Water Ingress warranty.

Hi All,
Hope you are all well & Staying Safe.

My Hymer has just passed the date for its annual "Hymer water ingress service ticket". The dealer is currently closed & also I live in Wales and currently we cannot travel anyway. (200 mile round trip).

Just wondered if any Hymer owners are in this position. Hopefully Hymer would honour any warranty claims in this Covid-19 situation?

Stay Safe.
Al.

There's a Hymer Owners' Group on FB - might be worth asking there?

I'm sure that the warranty will be honoured in any event but why not send the dealer an email saying that you are available to take the van to them (even if you aren't!) for it's check. At least you've then shifted the onus on to the dealer.

Good idea Peter, I'll do that, thanks.

The vast majority of caravan manufacturers have extended the amount of “leeway” on annual servicing to account for the fact that many simply cannot get theirs serviced/checked within the specified “window”.
I would be pretty confident that MH manufacturers are doing the same. Might be worth checking the Hymer website?

Its not the destination that matters.

It's who you share the journey with (even if like me, it’s in a caravan!)
I am very fortunate to have Mrs Plodd to share mine with

I am in a similar position with regard to the annual damp inspection for our Frankia. I e-mailed the manufacturer direct (via their website). I got a response within a few hours confirming that the delay (well beyond the normal two months grace period) would not be a problem.

John

If only I could think of an original, witty signature . . . this is where it would be . . .
