Door damp / damage repairs

Hi to everyone and i have a Hymer s550 with a split door design but sadly its suffered some damp over the years and the insulation seems to have expanded and blown up the door so it does not fit that well , i was wondering if anyone had any advice in repairing S550 doors , a replacemnets £800 i think a company said , its not essential i replace it right now as its still functional but i considered maybe its possible to install a new insulation panel into the doors frame as i think the inner wall panels of the s series are replaceable also ?

many thanks for any advise

I'm sure that i watched a video of someone doing just that on the classic hymers facebook group about a month or so ago, could be worth joining and having a look for it, may take some finding though as it's a pretty fast group, https://www.facebook.com/groups/classichymers/

This was an older hymer and in essence i think he removed the edging and outer metal skin, replaced the insides, then attached the edging and re-bonded the skin back on.
