Elddis 2019 autoquest 185

When engine running does engine battery supply the 12volts?

Yes!.....When it is selected...although some have automatic selection.....I suppose technically it's the vehicle alternator really.

I try and state simple facts in a nice way.

It is via a fuse and relay normally, so if when the engine is running there does not appear to be any 12v that is something to check.

Locating said fuse and relay can be more of a problem as the guides given are about as much use as a cat flap on a submarine......🙄

Any typo that I make means the errorists win.

Strictly speaking it will be from both the cab and habitation batteries as they will be parallelled together when the alternator is providing the D+ signal. That is of course dependant upon a split charge system being part of the installation

You may have to flick a switch somewhere beside the info panel to turn on 12v?
