It's a Ducato Terry, front wheel drive and the sound seems to be coming from the back I think.

It's more of an annoyance so far, I need to sort out the million other rattles to hear it better, I think I've got the grill and cutlery sorted out, I've added pads to the hob cover, anyway they need a different fred.

Ours has done the same,, 1 day into 2 week trip. Taken on low loader (just) then to garage today in Bordeaux. They won’t get round to even looking at it for 15 days…. They have lots more MH in front of us, tourist season !

The mechanics have three suggestions;

Fiat key code failure

Toad immobiliser failure

Or oil pump failure as well. No fuel is being delivered, their “best guess” without looking and diagnosing is Fiat key code failure hence why yellow “locked” light is on permanently.

It will not be cheap, I am sure, as it is a main Fiat camping car dealer…….

But moving 3.7t is not an easy exercise. The mechanic had to use the starter motor to power it where he could winch it on, thankfully the battery was easily up to the task and the solar panels will top it up (if the heavy rain stops 😢 ).

I will keep you informed so if you have that little yellow light on, even once, you get it checked. I had never seen it before, so was not forewarned but did ignore excellent advice on here to get it checked when it would not start for a few minutes last year…. That seemed to have resolved itself, or not…. 🙁😞😩

Any typo that I make means the errorists win.

Any comments above are only MY OPINION and should be read as that.

Good to see you posting again Dave, but sorry for the reason.

Where had you hoped to get to? And are you back home now?

Already to go fridged loaded, clothes etc all stowed away, house locked up, the damned van won't start, lock out yellow symbol on dash again.

Not sure what to do, but I've about had enough of this van.

In our case it was the relay associated with the Fiat immobiliser that had failed. The garage read the fault using the computer and ordered one, took a week to arrive and 1 hour to fit.

Total cost inc TVA 499€.

The part numbers referenced (if that means anything) are;

FIA 1316574080 Code Card 2 31.77 €

FIA 1336569080 Diapositif De Com 271.00€

I think the FIA means Fiat, as they do other makes, the De reference is because the part had to come from Germany.

That may be of use to you…..

I detest immobilisers as they always let you down. First thing I would get rid of.
