Falling apart at the seams . . .

It’s not just me - the motorhome appears to be losing its grip too.

This trim piece came off while I was washing some of the fallen leaves out of the bonnet and windscreen area. One corner was sticking out a bit and with the lightest of pressure the whole thing came off.

Any suggestions for best thing to use to stick ithe plastic trim piece back on with, please? I’d guess it needs to be something strong enough to hold it in place without being so strong that the trim would break if it ever needs to come off for some maintenance purpose.

Thanks in advance.
John

Blobs of clear mastic would be my choice John. Very small blobs so it didn't ooze out and create dirty spots.

Thanks guys - I’ll have a go when it warms up a bit and stops raining - so it may be some time before I can report back on progress.

Regards,
John

Sugru is also wonderful stuff. Little blobs on a clean surface will get a good grip. One sachet will do your job with plenty left over and it isn't as wasteful or costly as opening a wbole tube of silicone which may have gone off by the time you need it again. It does not come in clear.so you need to be a bit more careful using it.

Ploddy can count this towards his total of mh related posts.

Aah, yes - I remember reading about Sugru - sounded like a great product, thank you.

Drifting slightly off topic, I believe they were a Kickstarter enterprise (or something like that) where a lot of “investors” got burned when the start up sold out for something like 10% of their “valuation”.

Still a good product though - I’ll loookminto it properly tmrw.

Cheers,
John

Don't buy a stack of it tho John - it has a 6-mths-in-the-fridge shelf life I believe.

I have found it to be ok for a lot longer than that Jean. But a little does go a long way.
