I would certainly go for the solar unit for the above reason, BUT that only works with 4 sensors and, having a car and caravan, I have 6!

The sensors alone are about £30 each so £80 for 4 sensors AND the solar dash unit is a real bargain.

Andy, you can add another 2 to the system, they’ll sell them separately and the system will accept the extras.

Thanks but I am waaaay ahead of you on that!

The solar system doesn’t have the facility to link/unlink trailer sensors. So it would keep looking for the sensors on the caravan, even when it’s not hitched up, and not being able to find them, keep beeping!

Buy 2 kits then, one for the car and one for the c-c-c-c-c-ara-van (there, managed to get it out &#128514

Until then I will just stick with my non solar 6 sensor set up where I can link/unlink the extra 2.
