We donít want to go abroad but access sky tv with out oyster satellite. What connections do we need to get it to work as we have connected our sky Q and sky + box and it just keeps initialising

Sky Q requires its own special LNB, if like me you have a folding Oyster system on your roof the LNB won't fit as it won't retract as required.

I contacted Oyster directly, they stated they don't have a workaround therefore a new Oyster system is required. Thanks but no thanks.

I have a Maxview Crankup Satellite Setup and upgraded my home sky box to a Sky Q setup.

Today I changed my Lnb to one of these:

The plastic clamp that holds the original Lnb in place is short so will not clamp the bigger Lnb in place so Iíve used a few cable ties to secure it. Itís going nowhere.

Got a picture within 15 seconds so very happy again.

Only other problem is I have a setup that gave me the same picture to all 4 tvís (3 inside & 1 outside) but the Sky setup allows only 1.
Not bothered to much about the other 2 inside so will feed another hdmi lead to the outside tv and swap accordingly.

I will also get the same Lnb for the standalone Maxview Tripod Satellite I take with me.

Google the Lnb if you need one as prices vary.
