Brill: Watch Live TV on your iphone or PC

iphone:

On Safari (the iphone internet browser) google "TV catch up"

Choose the sign up option on the site it finds called www.tvcatchup.com. It’s free.

Then login. Once logged in press the + sign in the bottom safari menu bar and choose "add to home screen" so you have shortcut on the desktop for next time and don't have to sign in again.

Voila....v good quality live tv on your iphone even if on 3G (ie no wifi). 10+ channels too! Approx 1 min lag behind terrestrial TV.

I wouldnt use it on 3G if you are not on a free unlimited data contract as I'm sure it will eat your pennies. Also, I'm not sure if it will work abroad but in any event roaming data will be expensive -£3 per mb in Europe. Interesting to see whether wifi works overseas...BBC iplayer doesnt.

This works on the ipod touch too but only with wifi.

To watch on a PC just visit www.catchuptv.com and sign in.

I,ve been a member for months and have been following the saga of can we, can't we receive the website in Europe.

The answer is not at the moment although an EC directive last year seemed to open the door a fraction.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong? When I click onto the desktop icon on my Mac it opens itunes and thats it. Doesn't actually start a tv station. On my ipod touch it instructs me to download Adobe flash but you I cannot because Apple will not allow it to download onto the Touch.

to get it on iphone without installing flash:

Use Safari on the IPhone
Go to www.iphone.tvcatchup.com and sign up from that screen (Note the iphone after www.

I really hate this stuff of limiting sites like this one and the same with the ones in the US to local country users only.

Here is one you might like http://tvgorge.com/watch-tv-online/

All the RAI channels are online in Italy but the same thing we could not access them in Switzerland.

If you have questions about touring, living, driving, etc in Italy message me.

There's a way round it for many countries, including US and UK sites. Just take a look at AceVPN.com - sign up, install software, pay $5 a month, sorted!

I recently had a problem with PayPal who were blocking my account because my IP address was outside the UK. Doesn't happen now!

Oh dear I'm having probs with logging into this website! I've joined up via the iPhone sign up proceedure successfully and it's allowed me to login etc but as soon as I click on a TV channel, it opens up a blank page with this message:

#EXTM3U #EXT-X-STREAM-INF:PROGRAM-ID=1,BANDWIDTH=64000 http://84.234.23.214:1542/iphone/iph...one_bbcone.sdp

Can anyone advise me please?
