Twin/Dual sim mobile phone

Due to poor signals I have at present two phones, one on Orange and one on T-Mobile - does anyone know about dual sim phones, are they good, will they accept two different networks.

Any information will be much appreciated.

TIA

hello

About six monts ago we both needed new phones We asked about dual sim phones as I know they were available some time ago. They did not have one and did not reccomend them. They said these phones had lots of problems. Just one independant phone shop's opinion local to us.

We use 3 & Tmobile. One works at my daughters the other no signal at all.

I looked into this about 18 months ago so this may now be out of date.

Dual SIM systems are available but they only activate one SIM at a time. Basically you switched off your phone then back on to swap SIM in use.

Thanks for the replies.

There only seems to be a Samsung that has this facility which makes me think it isn't such a good idea.

Have you considered "o2" or "Vodafone" both of which I understand have better coverage than other networks. Their deals are far better than they used to be.
