Recommendations for MiFi please

As mentioned elsewhere, my Huawei E5332 has become painfully slow and the girl in the 3 shop thought it maybe just couldn't cope too well with the modern technology.

I wouldn't want to be so restricted on my next trip.

Any recommendations for good gear?

Jean

Not so much a recommendation Jean but I picked up a 3G TP-Link M5350 for Ä5 earlier this year that seems to work just fine.
I haven't used it seriously in anger but with a data SIM in it I can 'see' and access my laptop via it.

Try it next time. But I wondered why I would use it when the phone can do the same?

We just upgraded to the Huawei 5573 which was then free with a deal with 3.Now we get 20gb data for £9.

One advantage is that it indicates when an SMS comes through, so you know when approaching the 19gb limit in Europe.

As far as I know 3 are the only company to promise no changes after "trick or treat" day

Spooky travelled with us for 5 years and over 20,000 miles. He died aged 11 and is buried in Delphi in Greece.
Now that's a great age and a great adventure for a rabbit and I think he deserves a mention.

Three are now offering a Huawei AI gizmo to give you unlimited calls, texts AND unlimited data for just £13 per month which doubles up to £26 pm after six months. Itís does away completely with the need for a landline for broadband. It also acts as an ďAlexaĒ

I wonder if it could be taken abroad and still provide internet access?? Could be VERY useful for those who travel abroad a fair bit! (Itís a 230v device I think

Its not the destination that matters.

It's who you share the journey with (even if like me, itís in a caravan!)
I am very fortunate to have Mrs Plodd to share mine with

Wish I'd seen that before I signed up for home BB for another year! Or rather changed provider to slash the bill by nearly 2 thirds.

Would have been even better if I could've taken it with me on my trips!

About mobile wifi's, do you leave it on all the time plugged into the usb or turn it off after use?
I have a Huawei and every time I turn it off I have trouble getting a good signal when I turn it on again. Tonight the light is green and internet pretty fast, if I turn it off it will take ages to connect when I turn it on and mostly the light is red but I still have a signal though poor.

I usually leave mine on all the time in the van when away. But then I'm having such trouble with mine you maybe don't want to copy anything I do!
